Extract from the Rules and Regulations of the North Malaysia Malayali Samajam  - Section VI - Membership & Subscriptions

1. Membership will be open to all Malayalee residents of Penang Island, Province Wellesley, Kedah and Perlis, aged 18 and above and who agre to abide by the rules and regulations of the Samajam.  These members will be termed as resident members.

2. Any Malayalee aged 18 and above residing in any part of Malaysia other than Penang Island, Province Wellesley, Kedah and Perlis who agree to be bound by the rules and regulations of the Samajam is eligible for membership.  Such a member will be termed as outstation member.  Such member shall not be eligible to vote or hold office in the Samajam.

3. The yearly subscription fee for the resident and non-resident members will be RM10-00 payable in advance annually.

4. Life Membership of the Samajam shall be open to all Malayalees who agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Samajam.  Such member shall pay a subscription of RM150-00 upon application to become a Life Member of the Samajam.

5. The application for membership shall be completed on the prescribed form (which can be downloaded here) and forwarded to the Hon Secretary with the appropriate fee.  This form should be countersigned by a member.

• NOTE:   The yearly subscription fee for the resident and non-resident members will be RM20-00 (Ringgit Malaysia Twenty) payable annually.

• Life Membership of the Samajam shall be open to any Malayali who agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the Samajam.  Such member shall pay a subscription of RM200-00 upon application to become a Life Member of the Samajam.
